This enchanting late 1950s wedding dress in warm ivory with delicate floral embroidery is in superb condition and has a simple feminine silhouette. The thick sateen underlay is a sleeveless shift cut with a modest round neck, neatly synched at the waist before cascading into a generous floor length skirt with a spectacular bridal train. The overlay fabric is of a soft champagne toned net and is embroidered with a beautiful floral design in gold lame thread that catches the light with glittering effect. The embroidery begins on the lower half of the bodice following a sweetheart line over the bust and echoes on the reverse forming two feminine points below the shoulder blades. The design plays over the skirt fabric and embellishes the wide cuffs on the sheer bell sleeves. There is a concealed zip fastening at the centre reverse. This piece has a classic feel and is in pristine vintage condition, however the designer is unknown. Would best suit US size 8, UK size 12.
