All of the sequins and beads are overlaid on top of a black muslin cotton underlay whilst the underside of the skull cap is edged in grosgrain ribbon. The piece is signed \"Made in France\". There is a later elasticated strap that has been attached to hold the design in place. The skull cap itself is in extraordinary vintage condition with only around 3-4 beads being lost on one of the edges.  It is only suitable for an extra small head; that said, many of these are now in collectors cabinets and boudoirs as they display beautifully. This piece would also be suitable for a teenage girl.
