Most likely the Chanel cartouche became detached or was removed. This documentation will be provided to the new owner. The necklace is made up of four strands of individually knotted glass baroque pearls that fasten with a simple hook. The ends of the strands are attached to two gold plated bars, each bar showcasing a single row of smaller, seed pearls. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis necklace is in superb vintage condition overall. The faux pearls still look shiny with no marks. With baroque pearls, often the lacquer becomes scratched or pitted and flakes off but here there is no such wear. The pearl knotting is intact with no stretch. We almost missed this but on very close inspection one of the crystal spacers has lost its stones; however, this is the second to last one from the necklace fastening at the back of the neck and would never be noticed. These could be added back in if desired. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLength of pearls 37 cm.
