This piece boasts magnificent construction whereby the thick satin fabric has been skilfully manipulated to create the extraordinary tulip shape of the coat. The round necked panel of the collar doubles back inside itself to form the petal shaped sleeves which billow slightly with a cape-like effect. Soft and strategically placed pleating is used to structure the piece, resulting in a panelling aesthetic over the breast, and the gentle sculpting at the reverse. Fully lined in sateen fabric, this unique piece exudes glamour and is in wonderful vintage condition.
