The brand was famous for its use of Marii, a patented shiny, pleated charmeuse, and elaborate embellishment inspired by far-flung travels. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis gown is mostly likely 1980s or early 1990s and crafted from the brand’s famous pleated charmeuse in pearlescent white. It has a halter-neckline and the top is intricately embellished with embroidered scrolls, metalwork flowers, silver sequins and rhinestones. There is a pearl-trimmed scallop hem around the halter and where the skirt meets the top. The halter fastens at the back of the neck with three hook-and-eye clasps. The dress fastens at the back with a hidden white zip and hook-and-eye. The top is lined in sheer tonal mesh and boned the whole way around the torso. The skirt is unlined.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis dress is in excellent vintage condition; if we are being very picky there are some very minor snags on the metalworks of the bodice which are virtually noticeable when worn.
