Each earring has a clip-on fastening and is signed on the reverse with a plaque engraved “YSL”. They are very likely the work of the sublime pairing of Loulou de La Falaise and the Robert Goossens workshop as Yves worked with specialist Parisian jewellery makers to create the house’s distinctive accessories. Known as “Monsieur Bijou”, Goossens had developed a celebrated collaboration with Gabrielle Chanel, creating richly worked jewellery inspired by antique and Byzantine treasures.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLoulou de La Falaise who joined as both muse and designer in 1972 helped shape Saint Laurent's accessories through her eye for colour, and proportion.
