It is strikingly similar to the luxury haute couture designs from the late 1960s through to the early 1970s of both Mark Bohan for Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent. Hand sewn and atelier-made in a black silk, the design features an orange, green and blue floral motif which has an almost Oriental-inspired feel. The fabric's most striking quality is the interwoven gold lame paisley design. The chiffon fabric itself is sheer, with a full black silk lining on both the bodice and skirt. The dress features a high neck, with a zip closure running all the way down the back seam. The balloon sleeves are semi-transparent and finished with a gold double-button detail at the cuff.
