The lining is showing wear on the skirt portion of the dress with numerous small holes in a localised area. These of course cannot be seen on the outside of the dress and are mentioned for accuracy. The lining could very easy be replaced in the lower portion of the dress or even removed if desired. Of note there is a reasonable seam allowance in this dress so alterations could be made on the side seams. Furthermore, it would not be a difficult task to move the poppers or the buttons to gain a tiny bit of extra room down the front of the dress. The wool fabric is beautiful quality and it is lined in a copper brown acetate.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis has the larger and older Rive Gauche label and is marked a French 38 or UK 10. In very good vintage condition overall. On close inspection we note a couple of areas where the felt wool has thinned on the left sleeve close to the inside arm seam; presumably by moth in the past - not holes as such as the weave is still intact.  The lining is still in good condition with the odd age-appropriate mark.
