It is incredibly detailed and the execution of the eyelet work is exceptional. The dress may have been an underdress for a tea gown but was probably worn as nightwear and features this eyelet work bandeau that forms the bodice and then from the empire line, the dress portion is very flared with a wide flounce which echoes the bodice design. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThere is also a further tier that incorporates a smaller version of the eyelet design and this has been threaded through with modern turquoise satin ribbon as the original silk ribbon was very damaged. We have also 'ribboned' the shoulder straps and the neckline.
