Kenneth Jay Lane, who began designing jewellery in 1963, was famously compared to Coco Chanel on a number of occasions for his popularisation of high quality costume jewellery. Designed to turn heads, it is crafted from gold-tone alloy to a chunky, wide silhouette with an abstract, organic surface. This bold cuff features six faux gems in assorted cuts and cabochons in cobalt-blue, tangerine, emerald-green, sapphire-blue, pale grey-blue and candy pink hues. The stamp on the rear reads “KJL\" and a C in a circle so this can be dated accurately to the early 1970s and an early point in the designer's career. Weighty and extravagant, it would make a spectacular evening piece, perfect for a cocktail party or black tie event. One side of the cuff is hinged to allow for ease when putting it on the wrist.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis cuff is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws except for some very slight wear to the gold on the back - not evident when worn.
