1970s Cotton Angel Wing Sleeved Dress by Quad
This dramatic late 1960s or early 1970s Quad dress has a really great shape with archetypal Juliet sleeves or Angel wing sleeves. It has a high empire line bust and a floor length A-line skirt. The cotton is a lightweight gauze that is sheer although the dress is fully lined in white acetate. The sleeves are unlined and therefore remain sheer. The pattern is a floral abstract in pale pastel tones of turquoise, green and purples. There is a wide sweeping low shallow neckline to consolidate the romantic look of the piece. The dress fastens to the rear with the original concealed zip. Quad was a good quality British fashion brand from the 60s and 70s; this is well made and in excellent vintage condition. It is incredibly fresh looking with no faults of any note. It would make a wonderful alternative wedding dress or be fantastic for summer events and parties. It will fit up to a UK size 8 or US 4 on account of the empire line. Our model is a UK 6-8 or US 2-4.
