1950s Mitchel Maer for Christian Dior Earrings

Early and original 1950s Christian Dior earrings designed by Mitchel Maer between 1952 and 1956. The design of the earrings is shaped like an arrow and set around a double colour combination of faux turquoise and sapphire blue crystal. The metal work is likely rhodium plated. In absolutely beautiful vintage condition, no issues of any note.

Although unmarked, these are a verified Mitchel Maer design and we have sold this design multiple times over the years, including a signed pair. Early Christian Dior jewellery was rarely signed, especially that made for the haute couture collections and prior to Monsieur Dior's death in 1957. Maer, who designed for the UK market, often designed earrings as part of a set and this colour combination has several earring designs as a well a necklace, brooch and bracelet.
