1960s Grey Metallic Brocade Evening Gown With Cross Over Detail

This elegant 1960s slate grey metallic evening gown is labelled Clifford Lee of Kings Lynn and Norwich and is of excellent quality in pristine vintage condition. The opulent brocade fabric has an iris design in alternating charcoal and soft grey set against a silver/grey background which shimmers in the light with enchanting understated glamour. The dress is sleeveless with a V neckline at both front and reverse and features a gorgeous wrap over bow detail across the bust. Tailored to create a classic hourglass silhouette, the bodice is drawn in at the waist and the straight skirt falls snugly over the hip, finishing at the floor with a short slit to the left of the ankle for ease of movement. The dress is lined throughout in mulberry toned sateen fabric with a concealed zip fastening at the centre reverse.
