1970s Origin Liberty Carnation Print Dress

Late 1970s to early 1980s Liberty carnation print dress by Origin. This classic shirt-waister dress is made from a very fine quality lightweight cotton with a high collar and central button stand featuring 15 black domed buttons. There are also 6 buttons on each of the tapered cuffs. The bodice features rows of vertical pin tucks which finish in a low waist line before the skirt begins to flare in knife-pleats down to around the mid-calf. The dress features a double tie to the central back which is pulled around the sides to the front to cinch in the waist. Made in England and marked a size UK 12, this is better suited to modern sizes UK 10 and below or US 6. Excellent vintage condition with no issues.
