Late 1940s Very Early Suzy Perette Labelled Novelty Leaf Print Rayon Dress

Fabulous Suzy Perette labelled dress with novelty leaf print in navy, green and ochre. The company was founded during the 1940s and headquartered in New York. The owner had a licence to copy elements of Christian Dior's designs but they were much more affordable. This dress is from a very early period in the label's history, either late 1940s or 1950. Made from a light weight rayon, the dress is shirtwaister style with a v-neck collar and the original fabric covered buttons intact. The cap sleeves have mini shoulder pads and the skirt is box pleated. It fastens at the side with a metal zip. Best fit for a size small and in truly excellent condition - looks and feels barely worn.
