1920s Pongee Silk Satsuma Dressing Robe Gown
A very desirable 1920s Chinese export market pongee silk dressing gown in an unusual colour combination. This is the first time I've come across this pale satsuma orange as the main colour with black accents around the neckline and hems. It also features a typical Chinese floral arrangement in pale red, blues and greens. No labels but wholly original and from the era; not to be confused with later copies.
In really good vintage condition for something of its age with no faults of any note. However, the robe is without its original belt; the belt loops are in place and could easily be removed if desired. We have left as you may want to use with another belt - black would look very striking and an easy replacement. Will fit a range of sizes due to the loose open fit.

Length - 49 in. (124.5 cm)
Shoulders - 24 in. (61 cm)
