1950s Green and Black Plaid Pattern Dress and Jacket

Original 1950s suit in a manmade fabric and green and black plaid design, comprising of a fitted sleeveless dress and bolero jacket. The dress has a wide scoop neck, fitted seamed bust line and a full, gathered skirt. The jacket has a round collar and finishes in line with the waistband of the dress. It has bracelet length sleeves and there are no fastenings. It is nice to see this dress retain its original fabric belt and belt loops making a complete ensemble. Probably made for the wholesale market by a good quality British manufacturer, the retail label is no longer in either the dress or the jacket. However, this is labelled with an old British sizing label 38. In modern sizing this will equate to around a UK 10-12 or US 6-8.

The suit is in very good vintage condition and there are no issues of any note with any of the pieces. If we're being very picky, there is a tiny bit of fabric shine due to dry cleaning over the years.
