1960s Chinese Cream Silk Embroidered Blouse

This is a timeless vintage silk blouse with charming embroidery on the bodice in contrasting grey thread. Dating from the 1960s it boasts a label saying " 100% Silk, Hand Embroidered, Made in Shanghai, China". The label says "Peony" and from the label and embroidery we deduce this blouse to have been of the finest quality. The silk is luxuriously thick in a wonderful cream hue offset with the delicate hand-embroidery that adorns the pointed collar and bodice area. The blouse fastens with 5 silk covered buttons and the cuffs have matching silk covered buttons and embroidery detail too. This blouse is in excellent vintage condition with no faults of any note. We suggest this a best suited to a UK 10-12, US 6-8.
