1960s Bright Feather Print and Gold Lame Dress

This piece has been sold and is preserved here as part of the Circa Vintage archive. It is no longer available to purchase.

Original 1960s A-line dress by Global in a cheerful colour palette of ochre yellow, orange, red and green, complete with gold lame detail. It has a shallow V-neck to both front and back, with wide shoulder straps and a rear central zip, concealed with a placket and secured with a hook and eye closure. The bust has an inverted 'V' shaped detail and the skirt flares from the waist creating a flattering and feminine silhouette. The fabric is a very lightweight and high quality mesh, printed with brushstroke like patterns which resemble feathers. It is accented in gold lame threads which gives the dress a lovely luminosity. The dress is lined throughout with a peach coloured silky material, making it cool and comfortable for the wearer.

A versatile piece which can be worn as a day dress or as a bright addition to a party wardrobe. The inside label reads 'Made in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong'. Although labelled a UK14, due to the nature of vintage sizing, we feel that it would best fit closer to a modern size 10-12 UK, or 6-8 US. The dress is in fabulous vintage condition with no marks or flaws to note.
