1970s Ossie Clarke Black Moss Crepe Maxi Dress
Original 1970s Ozzie Clark for Radley moss crepe shirtwaister dress. This is the classic Ozzie design that has made him one of the most enduring and admired fashion designers of the 20th century. It features a darted waistline and is front fastening with the covered central fastening buttons going beyond the waistband and finishing around hip level. The sleeves are gently gathered with a balloon sleeve and finish with a buttoned cuff.
The black crepe is in really excellent vintage condition, these Ozzie’s were often loved and worn to death but this one has seen little wear in its lifetime. There are no repairs, and it appears to be the original length - many were shortened. As good as it gets for a 1970s Ozzie Clark and a great size too, labelled a UK 14 which is probably a best fit for a size UK 10-12 or US 6-8 in modern sizing.
