Klafter & Sobel 1940s Navy Rayon Floral Crepe Dress with Corsage

A stylish and versatile Klafter and Sobel navy rayon floral crepe dress from the 1940s with matching waist tie. The pretty sweetheart neckline has pleated detailing on both sides and reveals just the right amount of the décolleté, accentuated by the flower corsage which we believe is not original but a very close replacement. The shoulders are padded adding definition but these could easily be removed if desired. The tie belt gives the option of bringing in the neatly cinched waist even further. There is a single soft pleat in the middle of the front of the skirt making it hang beautifully and coming to about the middle of the calf. There is a zip fastening on the left just below the arm pit. In excellent condition save for a well executed repair in the middle of the v neck where there has been a tear away from the seam around 1.2cm or 1/2 inch. The corsage covers this up completely; however, we have priced accordingly. Would best fit a US size 6 or UK 10.
