1970s Cream Crochet Dragonfly Net Top

This bohemian top was designed by an unknown designer or maker in the 1970s but could conceivably be a late 1910s original which has had new hook and eye fastenings. Crafted entirely from crochet, it hangs low on the shoulders in a loose, free-flowing manner with a wide, swinging body and loose, boat-neckline. Woven from off-white thread, the crochet knit is detailed with a dragonfly motif at the chest and large flowers in the middle of the front and back. Pretty scallop hems finish the cuffs and bottom hem. Hook-and-eye clasps fasten all the way up the full length of the back. It is longer at the front than the back making it wearable both ways as each side is equally decorative.

In very good vintage/antique condition; we noted some very faint marks under the right arm which can only be noticed with the top in hand. Due to its age and the fact it is entirely handmade, there are no composition or size labels so please check our measurements below. Should fit a wide range of sizes and we are happy to class as 'one size'.
