Leslie Fay 1950s Silk Navy and Cream Circle Print Dress With Belt

This superb Leslie Fay 1950s silk circle print dress is in pristine condition and would make an excellent choice for formal occasion wear. This piece is designed by Fred Pomerantz for his label Leslie Fay, who is celebrated for his careful observation of women's measurements in the post war era. The dress features a stylish sailor's collar which crosses above the waistband, with an underlying modesty panel that creates a boat neckline at the top. The ankle length skirt is fully lined in silk with pleat tucks on either side at the front and reverse to tailor over the hip. The tidy waistline is accentuated with a smart belt covered in matching fabric. The mid-length sleeves are wide fitting with open cuffs. There is a central zip fastening at the reverse. Of excellent quality, would best suit US size 6 - 8 UK size 10 - 12.
