1970s Gina Italian Sophisticates Navy Cotton Velvet Jacket

This is a very decorative 1970s embroidered velvet inky blue jacket from a label we've not come across before - Gina Italian Sophisticates. The inverted yoke has machine embroidered flowers with lace inserts. There is an unusual cotton braided cut-out trim as part of the design on both the front and back of the jacket. This is also used to decorate the double patch pockets on the hip. There is a front fastening button stand that has 5 silver Fleur-de-Lis buttons and 2 on the cuffs. It retains its original belt and there are thread loops on each side to hold in place. It is a slim fitting jacket with a wide collar and very typical of the era. We estimate this to fit around a UK 8 or US 4. Great vintage condition, gently worn with absolutely no issues.
