1950s Red Woven Bag
This is a large, impressive and unusual carpet style bag form the 1950s. The main body of the bag is made up of woven red wool with the front panel in a finer weave and featuring a tapestry applique of a bird, believed to be a Northern Cardinal, native to north America. Inside the bag is lined in matching bright red leather and there is a handy side pocket with zip closure. The strap in the same red leather with gold tone metal details. A really gorgeous piece in excellent condition.
