1970s Jean Varon Black Chiffon Dress
This very 1970's empire line chiffon dress by Jean Varon has an integral capelet which ties up at the back and is designed to create the illusion that it's a separate piece. The flared dress underlay has a zipper. The capelet comes down towards the front of the dress creating a handkerchief ruffled effect. It also features a cascading floral appliqué in red and orange on each shoulder going down to the back of the dress as well as a central appliqué on the front, all of which are dotted with beautiful beads and sequins.
