Colobus Monkey Black Fur Coat
A beautiful vintage black colobus monkey fur coat with black soutache embroidered collar in truly excellent condition. This pieces features exaggerated padded shoulders in typical 40s style and ¾ sleeves which fasten all the way up with poppers and so can be opened out to give a more cape like appearance. It is straight cut with no waist shaping and has two pockets at hip level. It fastens down the front with large covered hooks and eyes and is fully lined in a lovely black silk lining. There are no makers labels but is possibly a Schiaparelli and an extremely rare find.
