JEAN MUIR

Jean Muir (1928 - 1995) started out as a sales girl & fashion sketcher for Liberty's in London. She then went on to design for iconic British brand, Jaeger. In 1961 she established Jane and Jane and in 1966 Muir she started her own business. Her designs were loved for their long, languid lines and excdptional & flattering tailoring. She favoured fabrics such as jersey, crepe and suede.
