Emilio Pucci, Marchese di Barsento hailed from Florence, Italy. His eponymous company is synonymous with geometric prints in a rainbow of colours. His first designs were for a ski team ultimately leading him to be noticed by leading fashion magazines.
He set up his haute couture fashion house on the island of Capri, focusing on swimwear but he soon moved onto other items such as brightly coloured, boldly patterned silk scarves. In addition he designed & produced what are now considered iconic wrinkle-free printed silk dresses. Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, Jackie Kennedy & Madonna were all devoted fans of Pucci's designs. He truly mastered the mix of luxurious couture and ready-to-wear.
