VALENTINO

 

Valentino was founded in 1959 in Rome by Italian designer Valentino Garavani.  Valentino became known for his bright red dresses, a colour that soon became known in the fashion industry as 'Valentino red'.  His international debut took place in Florence in 1962 and by the mid-1960s he was considered the master of Italian couture with a clientele that included Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Princess Margaret and Andy Warhol. This collection forms part of Circa’s designer archive, featuring archival vintage and museum-quality fashion pieces from the house of Valentino.
