Oscar de la Renta emerged as one of the leading figures in American fashion in the late 20th century. After training under Cristóbal Balenciaga, working with Antonio del Castillo at Lanvin and for Elizabeth Arden, he gained acclaim as one of the foremost designers of luxury womenswear. In 1965, he launched his eponymous label, quickly becoming synonymous with refined glamour and impeccable craftsmanship. A two-time winner of the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year award, de la Renta built a legacy defined by vibrant colour, feminine silhouettes, and exquisite embroidery.
