1950s Double Row Baroque Pearl Necklace with Blue Rhinestones
This original late 1940s to early 1950s necklace is a truly eye-catching piece and is possibly an unsigned early Miriam Haskell piece designed by Frank Hess. Two strings of faux baroque pearls are crowned with a central decoration composed of an elaborate silver-toned filigree metal back and topped with clusters of rhinestone-detailed pearls, pale blue rhinestones in circular and teardrop shapes, silver-toned metal pinecones and silver-tone metal coral forms. Threaded onto the strands of pearls are two blue rhinestone-smothered flat spacer beads. At the end of the two strands of pearls, next to the clasp, there is a pretty silver-toned metal flower to denote the end of the necklace and the beginning of the fastening detail. This fastens to a single strand pearl-strung chain with a silver-toned metal hook.
This necklace is unstamped and is comparable in quality to Miriam Haskell and of the other 'Haskell look' designers such as Eugene, DeMario, and Robert. In very good to excellent vintage condition with no issues, replacement components or repairs noted. The necklace has been designed to sit on the collar bone and can be adjusted to fit.
