2016 Maison Lilly Ibrahim Couture Textured Gold and Cream Skirt and Top Set
Founded in 2014, Lilly Ibrahim is a fashion label from Beirut specialising in couture and bridal. We believe this look was created as part of the brand’s Les Plan des Seigneurs collection as the same fabrics and embellishment featured on several ensembles (pictured).
This two-piece set is crafted from a thick and luxurious woven silk blend fabric that holds its shape. The cropped top is woven from a coffee-coloured cloth which has been finished with metallic gold paint all-over. It is cut to a bustier silhouette with shaped cups at the bust. The straps are chunky and are embellished with a gold-tone chain, a string of pearls and a metal chain adorned with pale peach rhinestones. This stunning detailing continues around the top of the bust and around the back of the top. It fastens at the centre back with an exposed gold-tone zip.
The skirt is tailored from the same weighty cloth but is in pale cream. It is cut to a playful, flippy skater style with a high waistband. The waist is adorned with the same embellishment as the top, with the addition of dozens more pearls, asymmetrically placed around the waistband, and teardrop-shaped rhinestones in pale peach. The skirt fastens at the back with a tonal zip and hidden hook-and-eye clasp. Both the skirt and top are lined in a soft silk crepe.
This ensemble is in very good to excellent condition and may have been worn just once. It has no size or composition labels so please check our measurements below as the fabric has no stretch. This will best fit a size UK 6 or US 2.

What is archival fashion?
Archival fashion refers to historically significant designer garments preserved for their cultural, aesthetic, or technical importance. At Circa, archival fashion includes couture archive pieces, runway garments, early designer work, and museum-quality vintage that document the evolution of fashion history.
How is archival fashion different from vintage?
While vintage typically describes clothing over 20 years old, archival vintage is selected for its rarity, provenance, and relevance to a designer’s archive or fashion history. Circa specialises in archival pieces rather than general vintage.
