PRODUCT DETAILS
This gorgeous 1970s printed crepe smock dress is by Christian Dior, and is in excellent vintage condition with some lovely design features. The black crepe fabric is printed with a minimal plaid pattern in red and gold, interspersed with a floral design in a matching colour-way around the hem of the skirt and cuffs. There is a gathered Bardot style neckline which can be worn on or off the shoulders. There is a bow embellishment at the centre bust and long bishop sleeves gather neatly at the wrist. The dress is a classic smock shape and styled to flare out obscuring the line of the figure, flowing from the bust into a voluminous mid calf to ankle length skirt. There is a separate long sash in matching fabric to accompany the piece, which can be tied around the waist as desired. The dress is unlined and easily slipped over the head to access. A beguiling and versatile piece which would suit a range of sizes due to the accommodating cut. We suggest would best suit a US size 6-12, UK 10-16.
