PRODUCT DETAILS
This sophisticated 1970s pure printed silk jersey dress is by French fashion house Leonard studios and is in impeccable vintage condition. The designer Daniel Tribouillard defined his aesthetic using printed silk fabrics, much akin to Pucci with whom his designs are often associated. Like Pucci, the Leonard signature is often incorporated into the surface design, in this instance it can be found along the bamboo stems featured in the Oriental style print. Soft pastel shades in pale lilac, peach and ochre depicting a bold cherry blossom design contrast beautifully against a black background. The line of the dress is simple and elegant, with fabric subtly gathered below a round neckline and long sleeves that flare ever so slightly at the wrist. There is a band of fabric with a variation of the principle design to trim the neck and hemline, and a matching tie belt of the same design with gold gilt tassel embellishments. This lovely dress is designed to be loose fitting and fastens at the reverse with a zip. Would fit up to US size 6-8, UK 10-12.
