PRODUCT DETAILS
This exquisite 1930s Art Deco "Duette " dress clip/ brooch with crystal diamanté rhinestones is by celebrated American high-end costume jewellery manufacturer Coro, who were the first to manufacture double clip brooches with removable pin-back frames and christen them "Duette". These pieces were deeply popular during the 1930s-1940s due to their versatility. Designed to be worn either as a brooch or as separate dress clips attachable to the neckline, waist, shoulder, lapel; they were also often used to style scarfs, shawls, or hats. This beautiful piece is a classic example of the original Duette, with the twin clips easily detachable from the frame via tiny concealed spring mechanisms at the reverse. The rhinestones and faux ruby bugle cut stones are arranged into a gorgeous geometric Art Deco formation, and are likely to be Austrian crystal which was widely used during this era for the higher range lines. The manufacturer's signature and production number are easily identifiable on the reverse of the piece. A truly lovely addition to any collection with a timeless appeal.
