These original chiffon tea dresses are getting increasingly difficult to find in a wearable state and this dress is verging on exceptional antique condition. In beautiful pastel coloured hues of pale yellow, blues, greens and oranges and featuring an arrangement of petunia flowers. It has late 1920s elements whereby hemlines started to lengthen as the decade roared towards the 1930s and an early bias cut shape. With a scoop neckline, the torso is made up of inverted panels around the yolk from which falls further vertical panels from the low waistband. The dress has no fastenings and simply slips on over the head. Both the neck opening and arm holes are generous enough to support this dress being worn with care. It presents absolutely beautifully, and the fabric is still strong. There are only two minuscule pin prick holes in the fabric away from the front of the dress. It could easily be worn with an antique slip of your own or dare if you bear! Best for UK size 6 or US 2 as its not roomy in the bust.
