1940s Navy and White Abstract Print Rayon Dress

This 1940s navy and white print dress is in exquisite antique condition - increasingly rare for an item of its age. Made from a thick, dark navy rayon with a lovely weight to it, the dress has elbow length sleeves with cuff detail, and two rounded edge pockets to the left and right sides of the skirt. It has a zip closure to the left side seam, and two fabric covered buttons to the front. Both the collar and the pockets have contrasting white edging detail bringing out the abstract pattern, which has a lovely illustrative and modern feel to it - very Picasso!

The relaxed nature and soft fabric of this dress make it perfect for any occasion. No faults of any note and it looks barely worn. Unlabelled except for a small size tag, reading '44'. Due to its relaxed fit, it would suit sizes up to a UK 14-16, or US Size 10-12.
