1950s Pearlescent Lucite and White Woven Straw Basket Bag

This super-sweet basket bag was created in the 1950s. It has a white woven lacquered body and is finished with a decadent pearlescent lucite top. The lid opens on two sides and is secured with intricate gold-toned brass hardware. The elaborate handle is compiled from gold-toned brass and coordinating pearlescent lucite. Lined with a black waterproof man-made cloth and two small slip pockets. Its a great roomy size whilst being light weight and display beautifully. This piece is in very good to excellent vintage condition with only the slightest of fading of the gold-tone on the brass hardware.
