Classic 1960s Christian Dior made under the USA wing of the brand in New York. It has the Union Made ILGWU label too indicating the most popular union label from the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union and also dating to after 1963. This timeless shift dress is in a thickly woven white linen fabric, cut through with a woven navy stripe design lending this piece a nautical vibe. The front of the dress is decorated with two rows of navy buttons leading down from a neat, blazer style collar. The dress is sleeveless but could be worn over a blouson blouse or even a polo neck sweater. It fastens to the front with a metal zip as well as poppers with the button stand more for decoration. The dress is fully lined and in excellent vintage condition, a superb piece of American made Christian Dior fashion. It is marked a vintage size 8 which would equate today to a US 6-8/UK10-12.
