This unusual latticework lace monochrome dress is from the late 1950s and is the perfect choice for a special event. The dress is made of a white cotton lining that has been meticulously overlaid with a beautiful black geometric cotton lace. The dress features a square neckline with scalloped edged lace placement. Two bust darts on the front and double darts on the front and back waistline provide the wearer with a beautiful hourglass or 'wiggle' shape. The metal zip closure at the back is in great condition, paired with a decorative bow tie clasp and popper closure at the top. The dress hem has a functional pleat for ease of movement and falls at the mid-calf on our model who is 5'7'' and can be easily hemmed to suit. Overall, the dress is in great vintage condition - if we are being very picky, the white lining has slightly discoloured with age to more of a pale cream but this looks white when the dress is being worn. Unlabelled but a very well made piece, probably from the USA and a best fit for up to size UK 10 or US 6.
