1960s Red and Gold Brocade Shift Dress

This is a perfect party or cocktail dress in a vivid red and gold medium weight brocade fabric. Dating from the 1960s this dress takes the classic shift style from that era with a high square neckline and thick straps. The bust line is adorned with a matching bow. The brocade is comprised of a bright red base fabric with small red flower motifs picked out in a darker thread as well as large gold flowers in a very loose, whimsical outline. The dress is fully lined in acetate and has its original zip to the rear as well as a hook & eye. It shows little signs of wear and therefore is in excellent vintage condition. This dress will fit up to a UK 10-12, US 6-8.
