This is a late 1960s piece by well known British label, Polly Peck and is an early example of cut out evening wear which was quite daring for the era. The chief designer, Sybil Zelker, was a co-founder of the business with her husband Raymond in the 1940s. This striking piece is composed of an embellished sequinned bralette and a cut-out long crepe skirt element. The dress is accessed from the rear with a centre zip with hook and eyes on the bralette. The a-line look of the dress extends from the bralette and is a careful continuation of the strap placement. This dress is in excellent vintage condition with no faults of any note. It is labelled a vintage size 12 and we believe this may better fit a UK size 10 to 12, US size 6-8; will look great on smaller sizes too.
