1970s Laura Ashley Purple Floral Print Maxi Dress

This is the classic early 1970s floral design that catapulted Laura Ashley into the darling of the British High Street. We've sold this dress many times over the years but never in this striking purple and white combination. It is made from a medium thickness but soft-to-the-touch cotton that holds the shape of the dress as well.

The empire line bust is enhanced with crochet lace trim which is also echoed on the short puff gathered sleeves. The ankle length skirt has three tiers and is gently gathered on each of the tiers to create the very flared A-line shape. It is labelled Laura Ashley, Made in Wales and is an old size vintage UK 14. This is tiny by modern standards due to the slim shoulder measurement and best suited to UK 10 or US 4 and under. The dress fastens to the back with the original centre back fastening zip. In beautiful vintage condition, no issues of any note.
