PRODUCT DETAILS
Ted Lapidus was a revered designer who began his long fashion career at the House of Dior and went on to start his own label in 1951. Particularly noted for his stylish 1970s daywear pieces as well as for his unisex style of dressing, he also introduced military and safari looks into haute couture. His creations were worn by leading French stars of the day including Brigette Bardot and Francoise Hardy. Another noteworthy fashion addition was his use of blue jeans making them part of mainstream of fashion design. He can claim to have been the first designer to persuade Twiggy to wear a suit and tie rather than a mini skirt.
