PRODUCT DETAILS
This arresting 1970s black velvet haute couture dress is by Norwegian designer Per Spook when he was head designer of Louis Feraud and is in superb vintage condition although sadly it is unlabelled but from the collection of a chic Parisian socialite. This unique piece has many of the characteristics associated with its designer, notably the bold ethnic style design featured on the bodice in deep red sequins to contrast with the black velvet fabric. The fabric is interspersed in tiers of lace on the sleeves and the full ankle length skirt, with lace rules on the hem and cuffs. The dress is lined throughout in a thick layer of nude silk chiffon and there is a zip fastening at the centre reverse. This incredible piece is a wonderful example of 1970s up-market peasant chic and would fit up to US size 6-8, UK size 10-12.
