1990s dress and shawl by Diane Freis and cut in a flattering bias shape with spaghetti straps and a subtle dip to both the front and back; it really is a timeless and classic piece. The dress is made from 100% black silk, with a beautiful print featuring purple flowers, green leaf stems and beaded and sequin embroidery. The front features a silk rosette to the centre of the bust and ruffle detail running all the way down the front seam, which opens out into a skirt which is shorter at the front and slightly longer to the rear. The dress fastens with a concealed side zip closure and has retained its original tags and spare beads, and so has clearly never been worn. Although labelled a size 14, it is shown here on our size 6-8 model, and due to the giving nature of the bias cut it would suit anywhere between an 8-14, or 4-10 US. The dress is in fabulous vintage condition, with no stains or faults.
