2010 Etro Runway Documented Purple Silk Boho Jumpsuit

£995.00

This vibrant, bohemian jumpsuit walked the runway as part of Etro’s Spring 2010 show (look 8 of 52). With Veronica Etro as creative director, the collection stayed true to the house’s romantic roots. This piece embodies the hazy, 1970s-infused glamour of the show. Tailored from smooth silk woven with tiny subtle, shimmering stripes, the hand-painted print is elaborate and detailed with the delicate foliage, pastel paisleys and watercolour flowers that were seen throughout the runway show. The jumpsuit has a relaxed fit body with balloon-legs, a nipped-in waist and floaty, blouson top. The ankles tie with coordinating fabric. The neckline is trimmed with violet crepe, which also forms spaghetti straps that tie above the shoulders. The neckline is further detailed with a floral frill that hangs over the front and back, and these are trimmed with tiny black beads. There is a drawstring waist threaded with a black braided rope and trimmed with embossed brass beads and black fabric tassels. The jumpsuit is fully lined with mauve silk.

This jumpsuit is in excellent vintage condition and looks barely worn with no issues. Made in Italy, it is labelled a size 40 which is a UK 8 or US 4. It does not contain a composition label. The fabric has no stretch so please check our measurements below carefully.

What is archival fashion?

Archival fashion refers to historically significant designer garments preserved for their cultural, aesthetic, or technical importance. At Circa, archival fashion includes couture archive pieces, runway garments, early designer work, and museum-quality vintage that document the evolution of fashion history.

How is archival fashion different from vintage?

While vintage typically describes clothing over 20 years old, archival vintage is selected for its rarity, provenance, and relevance to a designer’s archive or fashion history. Circa specialises in archival pieces rather than general vintage.
