2020 Philosophy White Floral Polka Dot High Low Dress with Train

£295.00

Philosophy was launched by Alberta Ferretti in 1984 as a more accessible line aimed at a younger audience. Lorenzo Serafini became creative director in 2014, renaming the line Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. The brand is rooted in a girly, romantic aesthetic that balances classic tailoring with a youthful spirit. This charismatic, summery dress is tailored from white tulle detailed with black polka-dots and vibrant pink roses. The dress is tailored to a body-hugging mini-dress silhouette with a theatrical long train. The body is ruched and generously layered with swathes of this pretty fabric. It has a low V-neckline at the front and back. Two small tulle bows sit at each side of the hips. The stand-out detail of this dress is the train at the back which pools on the floor behind the wearer. It is attached to two panels of tulle which form a belt at the waist. The dress is lined with a smooth white crepe for a comfortable wear that also preserves the wearer’s modesty. It fastens at the centre of the back with a hidden white zip.

In excellent condition and looks unworn with no marks or flaws. Crafted from 100% Polyester. It is a size UK 8, US 4 and true to size. The fabric has no stretch. Sizes vary between brands so please check the below measurements.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Clients may wish to bring modern shapewear. You may also wish to bring favourite footwear. We often find a classic pair of nude shoes work well when trying-on, or gold and silver. We have a huge variety of slip dresses and petticoats to complete your look. Many of which are also for sale.

Do you have a price range?

Many of our lower priced pieces, under £250, are not available to buy online. Dresses usually start at £150 and go up to £30,000 for the very best archival couture. Our bridalwear price points range from £1,000 to £20,000.

Can I bring anyone with me?

What is archival fashion?

Archival fashion refers to historically significant designer garments preserved for their cultural, aesthetic, or technical importance. At Circa, archival fashion includes couture archive pieces, runway garments, early designer work, and museum-quality vintage that document the evolution of fashion history.

How is archival fashion different from vintage?

While vintage typically describes clothing over 20 years old, archival vintage is selected for its rarity, provenance, and relevance to a designer’s archive or fashion history. Circa specialises in archival pieces rather than general vintage.
