This gorgeous peach 1950's silk crepe dress by Minx Modes is taffeta lined with a deep 'v' crossover bodice and deep 'v' at the back. It comes with its original cream fabric belt which is pictured tied at the back but looks equally beautiful at the front or even worn as a neck scarf. Rouching on the shoulders gives the dress a classical feel. In very good vintage condition.
Minx Modes, manufactured in Tennessee was part of the R.J. Lowenbaum Manufacturing Company. They were established in the 1930s and made dresses for young career women. The family also owned the upmarket Carlye design label. Minx Modes closed sometime in the late 1960s, around the same time that Carlye was sold.
